JUMPED OFF
THE CLIFF
We did it!!
There is no
going back or wimping out now.
We just
bought the boat!! Actually it seems more
like a ship- it is huge. We still need to
learn how to drive this ship. It’s a whole new ballgame.
After a very
intense 8 hour day with a boat surveyor, a diesel mechanic, a boat broker, the owner
and his wife, a sea trial, a haul-out with a giant crane to check the bottom, a
money transfer and a notary- it is ours!
The surveyor told us the boat was a “jewel”. We’re just looking at each other
now in disbelief really. All the pieces of the puzzle are falling into place –
guess this adventure was meant to be.
The new name of our ship is “Perfect Day”, just like all our other boats
(isn’t every day of boating a perfect day?)
Our boat’s
official home port is Charlevoix , MI.
