FENELON FALLS
Getting here felt like we were on the Jungle Ride at Disneyland,
only this is real! Actually it feels like we are boating down the Jordan River in Michigan.
Fenelon falls is a small, cute, tourist destination town. Along with Bobcageon and Buckhorn this is the most popular area of the whole Trent-Severn.
We timed this wrong arriving on a weekend as it was a zoo. We couldn't get space on the wall so we anchored out a few hours waitng for someone to leave. Bill dingied me in to shop while waiting.
"Our Venture" arrived here and we had a good time with them at the pub and dinner. We've been at most of the same stops along the way.
There are lots of cottages on the river here and tiny little islands just big enough for one small house.

Canadians are very patriotic. About 30% of the homes fly a Canadian flag.
Fenelon Lock.
Fenelon wall where we tied up for the night. All of the locks have walls where you can tie up overnight - some have electricity and water.
Fenelon- flowers everywhere!! Summer is really short but they celebrate it to the max with towns putting flowerers everywhere the minute it is warm enough.
Bill pulled up the whole lake!
Covered boat houses
Amphibous vehicle (car that turns into a boat) out for a cruise!
Docks and cottages along the water.
