Maine..........A Side Trip
We were ahead of schedule with high winds weather predicted again for tomorrow, so ........we drove by car North to visit Maine. I know, going North if it's already cold! We really wanted to visit New England and it was way easier, and cheaper, to do it by car than boat. We got a great week slip rental deal and kept the car we had over the weekend for 4 more days.
We drove over to the Boston area (didn't stop in Boston though) and from there headed north. We headed up the coast with our final destination as Booth Bay Harbor, Maine . We spent three days going north on the coast very slowly and one long day coming back on the freeway.
Steve, our harbormaster from Moonstone Bay, texted us repeatedly about our boat.

Lobster season is about to begin the beginning of June. It all about lobster here.

Boating season here is really short - still shrink wrapped for winter and it is the middle of May.
May 18 and still closed. Their tourist season is the middle of June to the end of August.
In between almost all restaurants, hotels and shops are closed down.
