                                      We liked it so much we stayed for four days instead of one.

         Lori kayaking for the first time in the ICW - The water is brown - and there was   a snake swimming in the water nearby.  Kind of creepy kayaking when the river banks are marshy and you don't know where you are.

                           River Dunes is rated as the number one large marina on the East Coast.  It is a new planned community centered around their marina. Fabulous clubhouse with  library reading rooms, pool, jacuzzi, steam showers, kayaks, canoes, bikes and bike paths, restaurant and bar, courtesy car, muffins and coffee in the AM - all for $1.50 per foot/night ($60.00).   And....if you stay 3 nights the fourth is free, which we did.

It reminds of us of Bay Harbor, MI.  Actually we have seen so much  by now almost everywhere reminds of us of somewhere else.

Used the courtesy car everyday and saw everything within  an hour from here.

Went in the jacuzzi four nights in a row.

Had shrimp and grits for the first time -it was great!  They serve it around here for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The weather turned windy and rainy so this was a great place for us to hole up for awhile.

Easter Sunday we listened to Pastor Demel's Sunday service on the computer and talked with family on the phone.

Oriental is the sailing capital of North Carolina.
