Orchid Bay - Great Guana Cay
Grabber's
We returned to Orchid Bay to show it to Thea and Robert as it is one of our favorite places. We are starting to backtrack and crisscross the Abaco Sea now that we have been here for 6 weeks.
The Atlantic has been rough, not good for snorkeling
-The No-See-Ems have attacked! We haven't seen bugs until
this time. The name is true, you never see them, and you don't find out until the morning that you have bites all over. We all got bit big time.
-Rib night at Orchid Bay, the best ribs any of us has ever eaten, one pound for $10.
-Hanging out at Grabber's, over to Nipper's, back to Grabber's -
such a rough life.
-No warranties in the Bahamas.......
Bill ordered me a rum and diet coke. The bartender picked up a can of regular coke and began to pour it (there was also a can of diet coke right there). Bill said he wanted diet coke, the bartender replied "This can feels light to me" and continued pouring it right in front of him. Take it or leave it. The Bahama people could care less about customer service as you are just a
tourist passing through.
-The weather is great: high seventies in the day with lots of humidity, low seventties at night, the water is 75.
Wild cats everywhere. they are all black and white spotted.
- We all danced on the back of the boat at midnight with Led Zepplin on ..... Luckily the marina was pretty empty that night.
Bill and I , Thea and Robert
The cat house- we counted 18 cats in the front yard (with15 bowls of food), who knows how many were in the rest of the house.
Three dogs on the balcony.
