There was a good weather window open (which has been hard to come by lately) so we started heading back to West End to cross back to Florida. We did a 90 mile day getting from Allen Pensacola Cay to West End. It was an easy trip with nice calm seas, except for a short period where a storm appeared out of nowhere with a tornado in it. The tornado was 3 miles from us according to the radar, pretty scary.
This water is 10 feet deep!
We stayed at West End 2 nights gearing up for our crossing back to Florida. We had a very good crossing back. It took us 6 hours -we left at 7:30 and arrived at 2:30. We crossed by ourselves, although there were several boats behind us. Along the way one of the other boats radioed us that a 40 foot whale had come up numerous times 20 feet from their boat. From the description Bill thought it was a Right Whale. Glad it didn't come up near our boat! When we got back to Forida we anchored at Fort Worth harbor. We were able to get approval from the Immigration Office over the phone to return so that made it easy (we had done the pre-approval process before we left).

Tornado/waterspout 3 miles from us - it was in our path - we changed course away from it and speeded up
Bill's fish - caught while trolling at 10 mi/hr.
