SOUTH SEAS ISLAND RESORT

            Captiva Island, home of the gorgeous South Seas Resort and Marina where we stayed.  This has been the fanciest resort we’ve seen and is as good as it gets!!!  Waterslides in the pools, trams to get you around, beautiful grounds, shops, restaurants, etc.  The beaches are famous for shelling, but this year the winter storms didn't bring in the shells like  normal.  When staying in the marina we get the use of all the resort facilities for a fraction of what people pay for a hotel room.  We are also fortunate that as of May 1 we are on "off season " rates everywhere.  Most of the "snow birds" have headed home.
