The   Barefoot Man Concert on Great Guana Cay 

            The Barefoot Man is to the Bahamas what Jimmy Buffet is to the U.S.  He is by far the most popular musician here and plays the same type of music. We went back to Great Guana Cay and spent 3 days there in order to be there for the concert.   We anchored out 2 nights at Fisher Bay  (Grabber's  Bay) and stayed one night at Orchid Bay.  The concert was a blast!!

-Bill was a hero the night of the concert.  He had his VHF radio on and at 1:30 in the morning there was a distress call that came through that he answered.  Some teenagers (after the concert) had trouble with their dingy.  He took our dingy and went and helped them ( it was really rough out).  They were in our bay,  had lost an oar and their motor wouldn't work.

-Another rib night at Orchid Bay with fellow boaters.  We've been back to Great Guana Island 3x now for rib night - we like this island!!
