                                                          Clearwater

We experienced some bad weather from Dunedin to Clearwater.  In fact Bill was undecided until the very last minute whether to risk going at all.  We made it into the slip at Clearwater just before the big part of the thunderstorm hit.

Clearwater is a very touristy place – hotels, lots of people, lots of action,  volleyball courts, sea doos, fishing charters, souvenir shops.  The beach is gorgeous – white sand, very wide and blue/green water.  It reminded us of Hermosa/Manhattan Beach, with nicer sand and water! Clearwater has the Intercoastal Watereway on one side and the Gulf on the other.
It looks like snow, but it's sand!

We biked and walked all over the place.  There was a great bar/restaurant, the Palms Pavilion that we really enjoyed. It was right on the sand, situated between 2 sand dunes.
