The busiest most awesome day ever: the farmer’s market/street fair in downtown Gulfport, the Salvadore Dali Museum and the giant Mazarro's Italian Market in St. Petersberg and the Blue Berry Patch in Gulfport.

The Dali Museum - incredible works of genius

Gulfport is a small, cute, arty town, kind of like Santa Cruz in Ca.   It is home to a lot of of left over hippies .  Lots of the houses are painted purple, orange, bright blue - rainbow colors.

Mazarro's market -an awesome  home depot size market of everything  in Italian food.

The BLUEBERRY PATCH

The Blueberry Patch in Gulfport

There is really no way to describe  The Blueberry Patch.  Google it !!
We were told at the marina that we HAD to stay another day just to see this as it is open 3 nights a month - we did - would't have wanted to miss it!! It's an acre of land maintained by volunteers devoted to recycling to make art of all forms.  Its been going on for 37 years - tie dye and left over hippies.  Anything goes there........  The police have stopped going there as they have realized  it is  a city "attraction" of sorts.  There was a band.  While they were playing adults around them were dancing with hula hoops, painting on easels, jumping rope, dancing solo...
